Thank you for reading the JACAR Newsletter. In this edition, Center Director-General Hatano Sumio profiled some of the Postwar Diplomatic Records that JACAR is adding to its database from the collection of the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Another topic was JACAR’s recent release of a short video, which represents a new effort for the organization. The video looks at Japanese-language newspapers in Hawaii, once read by Japanese immigrants and their descendants, to present a new perspective on the Japanese Navy’s attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941.
